ONCOSPHERE Nouvelle-Aquitaine

Oncosphere Bordeaux brings together all the forces dedicated to cancer research in the Bordeaux metropolis. This structuring unites all the forces dedicated to the cancer research on the Bordeaux area. This organization is based on three approaches, translational research, fundamental research and interdisciplinarity, translated into numerous work groups, putting startups and technological platforms in the spotlights. Oncosphère Bordeaux also aims to create links between research, patients and more widely, society. Therefore, by 2027, the goal is to gather in one space, most of Oncosphère Bordeaux components, to create a dynamic ecosystem with original and of international stature.

Oncosphere Limoges represents one of the four axes of project Ω-Health which brings together the main players in the fields of Biology, Health, Chemistry, environment and STAPS of the University. Within Ω-Health, the Oncosphere Limoges aims to rationalize and unify all the actors involved in the fields of oncology in biology-health, in chemistry and environmental sciences, around a strong pole in oncology. The strength of this project stems from its ability to bring together the different players in oncology research in order to promote the emergence of new regional collaborative projects within Nouvelle-Aquitaine, with the aim of accessing large-scale projects national and international. Oncosphere Limoges has a strong and original position on several major themes: preclinical models, biomarkers, technological development and treatment of cancer in the elderly.

Oncosphere Poitiers works in the following domains: the migration and invasion of tumor cells, the tumor microenvironment and its immune infiltrate, the artificial intelligence for imaging and signal processing, therapeutic delivery and environmental pollutants and physical activity in the service of health. The Poitiers site also owns several platforms to assist researchers, an investigation clinic center (CIC) and a department of therapeutic innovations and translational research in Oncology and Hematology. All this leads to a high level of research by using very often cutting-edge tools.
