[Nice, France 9-12 April 2024]

We are pleased to announce the EMBO workshop “Developmental circuit in aging” April 9-12, 2024. This EMBO Workshop will take place in the heart of the beautiful city of Nice, South of France, close to the historical old town and the “Baie des Anges. »

 REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 15 March 2024

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 15 January 2024

The proposed EMBO Workshop aims at presenting and discussing the most recent advances on how the developmental process is functionally related to lifespan regulation, health span (i.e. the disease-free years), and the (premature) onset of age-related diseases. From the crossing standpoints of development and aging, the following topics will be covered, structuring an interdisciplinary program: stem cells, cellular senescence, metabolism, genome maintenance, evolution, ecophysiology, and medicine. The Program ends with « chalk-talk »-based concluding remarks (tailor-made to cover all the program) from the organizers and a follow-up discussion with the participants. As developmental biologists and scientists working in the aging field often follow distinct research trajectories, it is the Program’s main priority to bring in junior and experienced participants and speakers from different disciplines to connect and exchange ideas on the complex interplay between development and aging.
